Hammerson appoints Maxime Depreux as COO Premium Outlets

British property development and investment company Hammerson plc has appointed Maxime Depreux to the newly created post of COO Premium Outlets, in charge of operations for the group's entire European outlet portfolio.

The new manager will strengthen the Outlets division, created in 2014 and led by the group's CFO Timon Drakesmith. Through its associated companies VIA Outlets and Value Retail, Hammerson is now operating a portfolio of 19 outlet villages across Europe.

"2016 marked a turning point for our outlet business, as we increased our stake in Value Retail and we boosted our position on the European outlet market through VIA Outlets, said Timon Drakesmith. It is now time to strengthen our management team," he added.

As of 31st December, Hammerson plc owned a commercial real estate portfolio valued at €12 billion, and including 23 shopping malls and 18 retail parks in addition to its outlet villages. Among Hammerson's main assets, the outlet villages in Bicester (UK), Fidenza (Italy), and Lisbon, and, among shopping centres, Brent Cross (London), Bullring (Birmingham), Italie Deux (Paris), Les Terrasses du Port (Marseilles) and Les 3 Fontaines (Cergy Pontoise, France).
