La Perla is setting out to seduce Asia. The luxury lingerie label operates about twenty stores in the region, and on Thursday it will unveil its Spring/Summer 2018 ready-to-wear collection, staging the opening catwalk show at the Sands Macao Fashion Week, scheduled from 19th to 24th October.

The Italian label, owned by businessman Silvio Scaglia, plans to showcase 70 looks, featuring silhouettes from both its ready-to-wear and haute couture lines. La Perla's show will be held on the Macao Fashion Week's opening night, also featuring a gala dinner, at the The Venetian Macao hotel.

"I continue to build La Perla's fashion world by introducing ready-to-wear and couture pieces, shoes and accessories, and I'm honoured for being able to bring the label to this international fashion and luxury destination," wrote Julia Haart, who took over as La Perla's Creative Director exactly a year ago, in a press release.

La Perla's last two shows by Julia Haart were held in Milan in September 2016, and in New York last season.

Asia is an especially attractive destination for Italian fashion labels. Prada picked Shanghai for its second cruise collection show on 12th October, staged at the historic Rong Zhai residence, renovated by the Italian group in order to become the new home of its China business, while Dolce & Gabbana held a catwalk show at Tokyo's Isetan department store on 4th October.
