Brown-Philpot joins all of Nordstrom’s previous board members, with the exception of Enrique “Rick” Hernandez, Jr., who chose not to seek re-election. Nordstrom’s board is made up of 12 directors who must seek re-election each year.

Since April 2016, Brown-Philpot has been CEO of online marketplace TaskRabbit. Prior to that, she was the San Francisco-based company’s Chief Operating Officer for three years. She has also worked at Google and Goldman Sachs. She is currently also a member of the Board of Directors of HP Inc.

“Stacy brings a breadth of unique innovation, operational, and entrepreneurial experience to our Board,” Chairman of the Board of Directors for Nordstrom Phile Satre said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to have her join us and look forward to adding her e-commerce expertise as we work to improve the omnichannel shopping experience for our customers.”

Founded in 1901 in Seattle, Nordstrom today holds 354 stores across the United States. It also owns HauteLook and TrunkClub.com. The company named Anne Bramman as its CFO last month. Nordstrom met its financial expectations in the most recent quarter, and was recognized by Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For List this year.
