The RealReal this week opened its first pop up in San Francisco at 222 Stockton Street in Union Square. The two-month holiday pop up opened just in time for Black Friday and the holiday shopping season, and marks as the luxury consignment company’s second brick-and-mortar location.

"As a San Francisco-based company, we're excited to expand our brick-and-mortar footprint to the west coast and open our doors to the luxury shoppers and consignors of our hometown this holiday season," said The RealReal CEO and Founder Julie Wainwright.

The company this month opened its first permanent store in New York City, offering men’s and women’s fashion, fine jewelry, home décor, art, and featuring workshops, consignment sessions and a wall of Hermes Birkin bags.

The new San Francisco store is offering the same product categories as the New York City store and has on staff gemologists, art curators and authentication specialists to answer customers’ inquiries and provide personalized service.

"We are always looking for new ways to offer our customers and consignors access to our experts on a personal level and our SF pop-up shop is another strategic move for us in that direction,” added Wainwright. “We're excited to test the market and bring our unique luxury experience to the Bay Area."

Prior to opening its first physical locations, The RealReal received this year $50 million in growth equity funding. The company said it would put the funding towards increasing its retail footprint. In 2016, the company opened a New York City pop up shop that generated $2 million in revenue in two weeks.
