Activewear to take prominent place at Interfiliere

Interfiliere Shanghai is working with its exhibitors and industry professionals to meet the hyper segmentation of the activewear market, which is diversifying with new practices as it strives to to satisfy consumers demanding apparel that combines high-level performance, comfort and aesthetics. The trade show will be held on October 12-13 in Shanghai, China.


The Mouv' Innovation Forum booth design, which will showcase French textile technology in five popular altleisure segments.



Interfiliere Shanghai in partnership with the French Federation of Knitting & Lingerie will dedicate the Mouv’ Innovation Forum to present exhibitor technology in five popular sports: swimming, yoga, fitness, cycling, and running.

 Fabrics and accessories samples from Interfiliere exhibitors will feature qualities such as comfort, protection (anti-UV, antibacterial, anti-abrasion), breathability, quick-drying, heat-regulation, connected and innovation. Information panels and video presentations will be held to explain the latest technological advances in bonding/lamination, seamless knitting, coating, laser-cutting and other technologies.

A veritable cabinet of curiosities will showcase innovations from other industry sectors, such as “3D printed” silk, boxer-shorts with protection against harmful waves, a wallet using electromagnetic induction for wireless phone-charging, and shoes made from recycled oyster-shells.

For the very first time the Interfiliere Shanghai will include the Athleisure Prototype fashion show,  presenting the latest trends in sportswear and the evolution of activewear and athleisure as a new casual way of dressing. The show will shine a spotlight on how new, innovative fabrics can be mixed and matched. Frabic surface textures, double knits and engineered athleisure lace will also be featured.

Labels participating in the Prototype Fashion include ShowBaikai, Bemis, Carvico, Chanty, Eurojersey, Gayou, Hang gang/Hong gang, Iluna, Liberty tex, Penn ts, and Tengfei.

In the meantime, the lingerie forum will continue to play a central role, revealing trends for AW17/18 and showcasing the technical innovations of the latest must-have products. A dedicated area called the Beach Forum will showcase fabrics, accessories, and finished products for swimwear, beachwear and sportswear.

Three workshop programmes designed for the intimate apparel and swimwear industries will be conducted by international experts from Carlin International Group and Eurovet. The programmes will provide participants with updates on market changes, translate future trends, anticipate consumers’ needs and detect the latest innovations in the market.

The two-day full schedule of seminars and conferences will cover trends, branding, technology, and industry hot topics. In response to hyper-classification in the fitness market, the seminar will highlight activewear materials and interpret activewear and merchandising trends.

Interfiliere Shanghai will organise the third edition of Interfeel’ Awards. A selection of worldwide recognised professionals from the intimates, swimwear and sportswear industry will reward the expertise and collections of Interfilière Shanghai exhibitors. All participating products will be evaluated by a special panel of judges: Carlin International, Concepts Paris, Olivier Piquet; General Director from Lise Charmel, Katia Charle; designer from Simone Perele, Eric Leroy; and Taya De Reyniès, Division Director of Eurovet.
