Designer Anya Hindmarch is thinking outside the box this London Fashion Week.

The creative, who heads up an eponymous luxury accessories label, has announced the launch of the ‘Postbox Maze,' an immersive, ticketed art installation that was inspired by the ‘Metamorphosis III' mural crafted by the artist M. C. Escher.

The maze celebrates the launch of the label's ‘Postbox Bag' and wider ‘Postbox Collection' and pays homage to the importance of written communication. It will feature literary correspondence supplied by the organization Letters Live and artefacts from The Postal Museum. Visitors will also be able to participate in workshops that, according to the brand, "celebrate the art of the written word."

Hindmarch is no stranger to hosting quirky, interactive events for the public to enjoy -- last September she celebrated London Fashion Week with a ‘chubby cloud' installation that took the form of a giant sculpture designed for members of the public to recline on. The installation was also the location for an accompanying program of talks and bedtime story readings featuring prominent fashion figures such as model Poppy Delevingne, TV presenter Claudia Winkleman and British artist Marc Quinn. In February 2018 the creative also decorated London with a series of giant, inflatable heart-shaped balloons in a project dubbed ‘Chubby Hearts.'

Postbox Maze will be located in Brewer Street Car Park, London, where it will remain open from September 13-16, during London Fashion Week. For tickets, see www.anyahindmarch.com
