Balenciaga launches Acid Arab playlist together with limited edition collection

In its latest encounter of music and la mode, the path-breaking Paris fashion house has unveiled an exclusive playlist by Acid Arab for Balenciaga, launched simultaneously with a limited-edition selection of Balenciaga x Acid Arab merchandise.

Acid Arab for Balenciaga will be available to stream or download on Apple Music, while the collaboration, a limited-edition unisex Balenciaga line of clothing and accessories, will be available in stores and on Balenciaga.com.
 
Created in fluorescent green printed with the words “Acid Arab” in Arabic and Roman lettering, ideal for dark late-night clubbing.

Backing up this collab will be a dedicated campaign of augmented photography by Éamonn Freel that accompanies the playlist and merch. Freel has worked on Balenciaga Eyewear and High Summer campaigns in the past.
 
Acid Arab is a pioneering DJ collective formed in Paris in 2012 and regarded as the leaders in what the French term 'Electro-Orientale' music. Their key concept - create a space for Arab culture in the world of contemporary electronic music. Acid Arab have won global acclaim touring clubs and festivals worldwide with their blend of Western electronic and Eastern sounds and vocals. They have also collaborated with other musicians such as Rachid Taha and Sofiane Saidi, as well as the Israel group A-Wa.
 
As an official curator on Apple Music, Balenciaga selects artists to create original playlists. The choice is made by the Paris fashion house’s creative director Demna. The Georgian-born designer began the series with his own playlist, followed by exclusive drops and limited-edition merch from German industrial band Rammstein, American drag performer RuPaul, and French pop singer Aya Nakamura.
