Brunello Cucinelli launches Taiwan JV with Bluebell Group

Bluebell Group has linked up with Brunello Cucinelli and will take over the latter’s operations in Taiwan. The move follows the success of their joint venture in Singapore.

They’ve set up a JV company for for the Taiwanese market, with the aim being to roll out additional monobrand stores and further “elevate the brand image on the market”.

The partners want to build a high-quality retail presence in Taiwan’s key cities and the new entity has so far taken over two existing Brunello Cucinelli stores in Bellavita (Taipei) and Top City Fareastern (Taichung).

Samy Redjeb, Bluebell Group’s Managing Director for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, said the link-up has “energised” the company and is “a testament to our leadership in the luxury retail space in Asia”.

Luca Lisandroni, Brunello Cucinelli co-CEO, also praised Bluebell and said “it has always been a pleasure to work alongside them, as we share a vision with common values and corporate philosophy. We believe in quality first, from our partnerships to our product and with Bluebell Group by our side, we are confident that we will be able to have the excellence of their experience to help us share our story and message in the region of Taiwan.”

Bluebell has operated in Asia since 1954 and and is present in Japan, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. It operates flagship stores, concessions and counters, plus its own multi-brand concepts, and has a selective wholesale network, together with both direct e-commerce and marketplaces, covering both domestic and travel retail.
