With the much-anticipated Burberry-Vivienne Westwood collab having just launched, the British luxury giant has unveiled a campaign to support the debut with an eclectic cast modelling the limited-edition looks that were co-created by Riccardo Tisci, Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler.

Shot in London by David Sims, the cast includes Kate Moss, Sistren, Leonard Emmanuel, LadyFag, Josh Quinton, Andy Bradin, DelaRosa, Claudia Lavender, Marco Motta, Sashadavai and Jacob Shifrin, as well as Westwood and Kronthaler themselves, who can always be relied upon to be photogenic additions to any campaign.

The collection celebrates “British style and heritage” and is inspired by Westwood’s collections, “taking a unisex approach across styles.”

That means classic double-breasted jackets, a reimagined hugger jacket and leather-buckled mini kilt from Westwood’s Anglomania 1993 collection, lace-up platforms, a silk shirt with an oversized point collar, boxer shorts with front pleats and a beret with slogan pins. Among other items, they're all reimagined with Burberry’s signature check to the fore.

The collection, called Vivienne Westwood & Burberry, is the first collaboration for Burberry under creative chief Riccardo Tisci and the company said that he, Westwood and Kronthaler “were united by a shared vision to support and promote Cool Earth, a UK based non-profit organisation that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and climate change.”

So a key piece is an oversized T-shirt dedicated to the charity, with a handwritten message from Westwood. She will also customise four exclusive items from the collection to be auctioned to raise further support for Cool Earth.

Tisci said that Westwood, who was “one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself”, is a “rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us.”

Prices for the collection start at £55. It’s available from Burberry’s Regent Street flagship as well as its flagships in Paris, Milan, Dubai, Osaka, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul, Sydney, LA, New York and Miami.
