Transgender model Teddy Quinlivan has landed a major new role for Chanel Beauty.

The US model has been snapped up to pose for a beauty campaign for the luxury French house. She stars in a video clip posted to the label's Instagram page, in which she takes viewers through her makeup routine for achieving a "summer glow look."

"My whole life has been a fight," Quinlivan revealed in an Instagram post of her own, continuing: "I am the first openly trans person to work for the house of Chanel, and I am deeply humbled and proud to represent my community. The world will kick you down, spit on you, and tell you you're worthless. It's your job to have the strength to stand up and push on, to keep fighting, Because if you give up then you will never experience the tears of triumph."

Quinlivan, who came out publicly as transgender in September 2017, has walked in catwalk shows for some of the biggest fashion houses in the industry in the last few years, such as Louis Vuitton, Moschino and Chloe. She has fronted campaigns for Marc Jacobs Beauty, Vera Wang and Milk Makeup, and posed for the cover of i-D Magazine and L'Officiel Spain, among others.
