Global e-commerce companies ESW and Mamenta have linked up their platforms to “offer brands and retailers greater opportunities to expand their cross-border e-commerce trade both on hundreds of global marketplaces and in their direct-to-consumer business – without significant capital expenditures”.

While Mamenta is a technology platform that makes it easy for brands like Harman Kardon, Nestlé, McAfee and others to seamlessly connect data and inventory positions to global marketplaces, there’s also a benefit in the deal for the fashion and beauty sectors.

That’s because apparel, beauty, luxury and technology brands on ESW’s solutions will gain access to the Mamenta network of 600+ online marketplaces in 70+ countries, which are supported by 75+ distribution centres.

Patrick Bousquet-Chavonne, President & CEO, ESW Americas, said: “This partnership provides a game-changing advantage for global direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands.

“Through a single integration, Mamenta and ESW will offer brands a powerful combined solution to accelerate and exponentially expand reach and revenue through a direct channel or on global marketplaces. Both options enable brands to enter new markets more quickly and efficiently and begin generating revenue without significant capital expenditures.”

The link-up comes as cross-border shopping continues to grow. ESW cited its recent survey of 14,000 shoppers globally that showed around 30% of consumers across all demographics buy apparel, luxury or beauty products across borders because they’re unable to find what they’re looking for in their home country.
