The first edition of fashion event Remode will have a worldwide reach, and will be easily and widely accessible. Remode is a hybrid event featuring conferences, networking opportunities and presentations, and will première on November 13-14 in Los Angeles. It is organised by UBM, a trade show organiser whose fashion division notably stages the Coterie, Project and Magic shows in the USA.

Access to Remode, an event with a strong experiential dimension, is not free, but the UBM announced that it will reach out to a wider audience, broadcasting the whole event in live streaming on its website.

Remode will be held in Los Angeles on November 13 and 14 - Los Angeles Convention Center

To further open up the dialogue, whose overarching theme will be the need for the fashion industry to reinvent itself, UBM teamed up with a series of international fashion schools, among them the IFM in Paris, the London College of Fashion, the Miami branch of the Istituto Marangoni and the Parsons School in New York.

UBM also joined forces with several NGOs, like Fashion Takes Action from Canada, Fashion Revolution in India, Redress in Hong Kong and Fashion For Good in Amsterdam, for them to spread the message to their own communities of activists.

Remode’s programme will kick off at 8.30 am PST on November 13, and will include 75 talks and workshops, with speakers like Rebecca Minkoff, Laurent Claquin of Kering Americas; the CFDA's Steven Kolb; H&M's Anna Gedda; Ami's Nicolas Santi-Weil; Ba&sh's Pierre-Arnaud Grenade; François Girbaud; Rosario Dawson and Everlane's Michael Preysmane.
