Cult makeup brand Huda Beauty is setting its sights on the fragrance industry.

The cosmetics label, which was founded by the blogger-turned-makeup mogul Huda Kattan, has a debut scent in the works. The news was revealed in the latest episode of the ‘Huda Boss' Facebook Watch TV show, in which Kattan sends her sister and business partner Mona Kattan to the perfume hotspot of Grasse, France.

Mona later took to Instagram to confirm the news, excitedly telling her 1.6 million followers: "It's official guys!! We're launching our own fragrance!! Years in the making!" The star's passion for fragrance is well known amongst her followers, thanks to her regular use of the hashtag #perfumeprincess, and, as Harper's Bazaar reports, the episode sees her gush to the camera: "I love perfume. I love it so much that I have dedicated an entire room in my house to perfume."

The brand has yet to offer any further details about the scent, including any potential launch date. However, in the clip, Mona can be seen talking to industry experts in a factory about the number of rose petals the machinery can facilitate, with a pile of pink rose petals covering the floor next to her. The episode's title, ‘Not Everyone Is Coming Up Roses,' also suggests that the flower could form a key element of the perfume.

Huda Beauty is the latest of several big brands to turn its attention to perfume: reality TV star and makeup mogul Kim Kardashian has seen huge success this year with her KKW Fragrance brand. Celebrities are also getting in on the act, with Britney Spears, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj all set to release new scents this year.
