Two years after selling CP Company to the Chinese group Tristate Holdings Ltd, Enzo Fusco - the head of Italian firm FGF Company, which specialises in military apparel with a lifestyle touch - has taken a 50% stake in American brand Blauer.

Since 2001, the European firm has held the licence for developing the brand in Europe. Blauer has its origins in supplying apparel to the New York police department and the Navy regiments in the US.

"With a 50% stake in Blauer, I've achieved a dream. For now, we are establishing a business with the Blauer family, but I do not ignore the fact that one I could acquire the other half of the brand. Our objective is to now develop the brand in America and China," Fusco told Italian media outlet, Ansa.

Blauer, based in Boston, boasts expertise in the technical arena that is of great interest to the Italian industrialist. FGF Company also distributes the brands Bdp, Ten C and Prince Tees.
