Menswear brand Mack Weldon launched on Tuesday its first-ever activewear series, Airknitx, exclusively at Equinox and the Mack Weldon website.

The Airknitx collection is comprised of men’s innerwear, including t-shirts, underwear and socks, crafted with a unique microfiber blend that features moisture wicking, anti-bacterial technology, and a high-stretch microfiber zone.

"Guys are active all day, every day; so we created a product that is as suited for the boardroom as it is the locker room," said Matthew Congdon, Vice President of Design at Mack Weldon. "Our customers want a hybrid product that compliments their active lifestyle."

Mack Weldon partnered with Equinox for its high performance lifestyle branding. The luxury gym offers branded products, services and programs, as well as activewear from brands such as Nike, Lululemon and Spiritual Gangster. Equinox also hosts pop up shops and trunk shows for brands, and is currently operating a pop up with Rhone Apparel at 11 locations nationwide.

"As members ourselves, we knew that AIRKNITx and the Mack Weldon brand would align perfectly with the Equinox value proposition,” said Brian Berger, Founder and CEO of Mack Weldon.  “Additionally, we obsessively focus on making things simple for our customers. One of the primary reasons guys visit the Equinox shop is because they've forgotten their underwear or socks. We want to be there to help those guys."

The partnership is Mack Weldon’s first major venture into offline retail. Founded in 2012 by Brian Berger and Michael Isaacman, the New York City-based brand offers men’s sportswear and innerwear engineered for performance.

The Airknitx collection is available now, and prices range from $24 to $42.
