French womenswear brand Maje has set an opening date for its London flagship store, announcing that the store will open on 9 November at 149-151 Regent Street.

News of the store’s opening had been a long time coming for Maje fans, after the SMCP-owned brand revealed that a Regent Street flagship store was in the works in August 2017.

In November last year, the premium fashion label opened a pop-up store at 151 Regent Street ahead of the launch of its permanent space, which was expected to open in May this year.

Meanwhile, its sister brand Sandro has opened a flagship store on the same street and announced this week plans to open a dedicated menswear store next to it.

Maje operates several stores in London on Sloane Street, King’s Road, Marylebone High Street, South Molton Street and in Canary Wharf and Westfield White City.

Known for its feminine and understated pieces, Maje is likely to become a hit with British consumers and tourists, stocking a range of women’s clothing inspired by Parisian style.

In line with the brand’s ‘modern nomad’ architecture, the store will feature gold stripes on the walls, modular furniture and a private space for VIP customers.

Maje also opened a new flagship store in New York recently.
