Moscot chooses London for first standalone European shop

Moscot, the independent US eyewear label that was founded in 1899, has revealed plans for its first-ever European shop.

The brand will open a store on 37 Beak Street in London's Carnaby area in December 2015. The shop will measure 800 sqft. over two floors, and the shopfit is inspired by Moscot's New York shops. It will sell Moscot's complete range of eyewear.

Among other American brands that have locations in Carnaby are Shinola, Filson and Red Wing, who all chose the area for their first stores outside of the US.

Clare Harris, Head of Marketing and Communications at Shaftesbury says: “We are delighted that American heritage brand, MOSCOT have selected Carnaby for their first European store. This is an authentic brand with real New York DNA and they will bring a new and exciting offering to our already strong and diverse retail mix.”
