Moss Bros is extra busy at the moment with the menswear specialist having just opened two new stores and set to open another one in September, as well as unveiling a new concept store on London’s Jermyn Street this week. It’s rolling out its casual offer to all of its locations too.

The new Jermyn Street store

As well as Jermyn Street, the new stores include another in London, one in Eastbourne and a further store in Brighton.

Those openings will add nearly 9,000 sq ft of retail space and 23 new jobs, taking its portfolio to 106 shops.

The new locations also see it “investing in a heightened customer experience that post-pandemic consumers are looking for”. That includes dedicated style suites and fitting room appointments, “designed to deliver a true VIP experience”.

It said its shop-fits have been “pared back and refined, creating spaces that are flexible and can change with seasons and events”.

Face-to-face interaction has become a cornerstone for the brand, alongside its e-commerce offer, and these reimagined spaces will help its customer to look and feel their very best”, it added.

Each of the new stores will carry the company’s ready-to-wear offering, as well as its long-running hire selection that has become newly relevant in the age of fashion rental. There’ll also be its custom-made options and its “hugely successful” casualwear offer that was only launched for AW21 and is fronted by Fred Sirieix.

The company said these casual pieces “are designed to reflect the changing way men live and dress today, even in business-centric areas like Canary Wharf and Jermyn Street”, and the rollout to all stores underlines this.

The Jermyn Street opening on Thursday includes an influencer launch event, as well as an in-store collaboration with New London Light “to celebrate ‘London’s Finest’ street”.

Last week saw it opening at London’s Canary Wharf with a 1,390 sq ft re-site to a new location in Canada Place. The opening was supported by 360 takeovers of digital posters, large internal poster sites, and a social media campaign targeting local residents and businesses.

Last weekend also saw it debuting a 2,593 sq ft Eastbourne store in the town’s Beacon Centre with a live DJ, seaside-themed hospitality served in-store, and a promotional seafront marquee.

The Brighton shop will cover 2,787 sq ft, across two trading floors and opens on North Street on 22 September.
