Paris, France - The Parisian luxury fashion house Nina Ricci, owned by Puig, the Catalan group specialized in perfume, is expanding its fashion studio. In May, the design studio will welcome Sophie Templier as accessories director in charge of product development. It is a new position created for the arrival of the former Sonia Rykiel merchandising director.

At the same time, Peter Copping, the Brit at the helm of collections since 2009, is to welcome Iliana Giannakoura to its lineup as chief ready-to-wear designer. The new hire will be coming from London where she has been working with Phoebe Philo at Celine.

The fashion division of the Spanish group Puig includes Nina Ricci, Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier and Paco Rabanne. The division’s CEO, the Frenchman Ralph Toledano, had already worked with Sophie Templier from the time when they both presided over Chloé as CEO and Deputy CEO.
