Opening Ceremony intends to expand its presence in Europe and has opted to rely on a partner specialised in the distribution of contemporary American fashion brands, the Italian Brama group. The New York City fashion label was founded in 2002 by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (who are also creative directors of Kenzo since 2011), branching out from their directional multi-brand store.

Italian distributor Brama, based in Modena, has therefore begun to showcase Opening Ceremony's apparel and footwear range for the pre-spring 2017 collection via its seven showrooms, covering the European, Russian and Middle-Eastern market. Brama's current portfolio includes Equipment, J Brand, Current-Elliott, Mother and Grey Jason Wu.

Opening Ceremony is already available at several European department stores, and the new partnership is designed to strengthen its distribution in high-end multi-brand stores. Opening Ceremony owns four stores worldwide, a dynamic e-shop and offices in New York and Los Angeles.
