Nina Hajikhanian succeeds Matthijs Visch, who held the position since April 2021. She previously worked for Adidas for seven years, where her responsibilities included managing e-commerce in Australia and New Zealand. She will now be responsible for overseeing the 12 shops and over 300 employees in the EMEA region.

"Patagonia celebrates its 50th anniversary as a responsible company in 2023, and the question we're asking ourselves is: 'What's next? In Nina Hajikhanian we have found a dynamic leader who lives and breathes the brand and can unite our internal and external communities around our vision for the next 50 years," said Bruce Old, Patagonia's global chief operating officer, in a statement.

Patagonia does not disclose its revenue, but the company is valued at about $3 billion by The New York Times.
