In his new role, Minson will advise the company as it aims to grow its subscription services and membership platforms.

Prior to joining WeWork, Minson served as the chief financial officer of Time Warner Cable from 2013 to 2015, and as chief operating officer, and financial and administrative officer at AOL. He also worked as senior vice president of finance and vice president of business operations at Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., now AMC Networks.

As Minson joins the clothing rental company's Board, expectations are high for his ability to offer advice that will drive company value: since he took on his role at WeWork, the shared workspace company announced it was generating $1 billion a year in revenue.

This development also follows the recent partnership between Rent the Runway and WeWork, in which RTR clothing drop-boxes were set up inside several shared workspace locations.

"WeWork and Rent the Runway’s recent strategic partnership leverages WeWork’s platform to create a national network of RTR locations and increase convenience for subscribers," Minson said in a release. "I look forward to continuing to work together to realize the massive opportunity that lies ahead for RTR to empower millions of subscribers."

Founded in 2009, Rent the Runway currently ships throughout the United States to 10 million members, and employs over 1,200 people.
