Less than two months after Fursac chief Elina Kousourna took over as the new CEO of SMCP portfolio-mate Maje, the premium fashion group has now revealed that the menswear brand has found a new exec to lead it.

Jérémie Le Febvre becomes Fursac CEO, effective next Monday, and will also join the SMCP Executive Committee.

The 40-year-old is taking over after several years in key fashion leadership positions. He previously managed British designer brand A-Cold-Wall that’s part of Tomorrow group, working between London and Milan alongside its Artistic Director.

And before that he was at several other brands, most notably high-profile label Ami, “at a key moment of its development”, alongside the founding Artistic Director and the CEO. He co-managed a multidisciplinary and global team "that allowed him to put his leadership skills at the service of an ambitious creative environment, and to build a strong sensitivity for the world of men’s fashion and the product,” we’re told.

All of that came after the first 10 years of his career being spent in the financial industry following him taking a Master’s degree in International Corporate and Tax Law.

SMCP CEO Isabelle Guichot said that “throughout his career, he has developed a strategic vision of the industry, knowledge of the men’s ready-to-wear on the European, American and Asian markets, and leadership that will be major assets for the development and expansion of Fursac”.
