The fashion retailer from Japan's Fast Retailing is continuing to work on its brand image, joining forces with café-restaurant chain Prime. All of Prime's hot drink cups boast the Uniqlo colours as of 15th November.

Uniqlo x Prime - Uniqlo

It is a major operation for Uniqlo, since Prime café-restaurants compete in Russia with Starbucks. They are managed by the Novikov group, which currently operates some 65 Prime branches in the country's major cities. By associating with Prime, the fashion retailer wants to grow its brand awareness, before continuing to expand in Russia where, as of the end of September, it operated 13 stores.

The Fast Retailing group, Uniqlo's parent company, generated a net income of €815 million in the fiscal year closed at the end of August, equivalent to a 48% rise. Sales in the same period reached €12.5 billion, a 26% increase. Uniqlo owns 1,700 stores in 17 countries.
