The Japanese fashion house, which shows in Paris, confirmed the news published by the American magazine WWD, saying that Caroline Fabre's mission is "to further develop the image and business development of the Yohji Yamamoto group worldwide through its various lines”.

Based between Paris and Tokyo, she took up her new position on September 1. She reports directly to the board of directors, of which Kazumoto Ohashi is the CEO.

The French executive had already worked for Yohji Yamamoto, for seventeen years from 1986, holding various positions, in particular that of commercial director. She also accompanied the launch of the Y-3 line with Adidas.

In 2003, she joined Azzedine Alaïa, and soon became his right-hand woman. Director of the studio for nearly twenty years, she had taken after the death of the Franco-Tunisian designer in 2017 the direction of heritage and publishing of the house.
