Fast-growing sportswear company Gymshark has filed its accounts for the year to July 31, 2021 and they showed the business continuing to prosper even in a difficult time hit by lockdowns and weak consumer sentiment.
Streetwear brand Hera has appointed its debut global ambassador — rapper J Fado — as part of its “new journey to create and foster relationships with ambassadors who represent the diverse cultural make-up of the UK”.
Resale is hot news at present as companies raise funds, open stores and appoint execs. And the latest news is that Gymshark’s ex-chairman Paul Richardson has taken the same role at fashion resale start-up Haru.
Gymshark is restructuring its business with 121 jobs at risk in its global operation. That adds up to more than 10% of its staff, but the firm is also planning to create more than 100 new roles as it continues to grow.
In a further sign of just how big the Gymshark brand has become in just a short period of time, news emerged on Wednesday that the label is to open its first flagship store in a prime spot on Regent Street next summer.
